After six consecutive rate hikes, the Bank of Canada lowered its key interest rate to 4.75%. Prior to this rate cut, the Bank of Canada had increased overnight rates a total of 10 times between March 2022 and July 2023. With the Bank of Canada having eight scheduled overnight rate announcements per year, with the next coming on July 24th, it will be interesting to see what happens to rates as we move into the summer and fall months.

Where do I begin? New Horizon Homes represents so much to my family and me. This is truly the culmination of a lot of hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

In a time when many are grappling with the steep climb of housing prices, Edmonton offers a surprising reprieve. According to a recent Zoocasa report, this Alberta city ranks as one of the most affordable housing markets in North America.

The city auditor’s report highlights a critical issue: private developers are achieving what the city cannot, with a productivity gap of nearly 60,000%. Private developers managed to add nearly 1,200 new homes a month, in stark contrast to the city-run Blatchford project’s two homes.
